It was an inspiring event where we deepened our understanding of inclusivity and accessibility in the media, forged new connections, and had a lot of fun along the way! After my experience as a participant in the Startup Spark Project, I was happy to pass on all that I have learned in the form a workshop for a dynamic group of young individuals, aged 16-18, drawing inspiration from my experiences with the Startup Spark Project in Cuevas Bajas.
The workshop started off with an introduction to Erasmus+ projects.
We’ve discussed application procedures and I’ve walked them through the essential parts of the journey before, during, and after the projects. Additionally, I’ve shared my experience of the StartUp Spark project, showing pictures and videos which captured the essence of our workshops, activities, games, and intercultural nights.
Inspired by one of the many educational and collaborative workshops from the StartUp Spark project, each student engaged in discussions revolving around essential societal issues: from gender equality and LGBT+ rights to economic inequality , refugee and immigrant rights, climate change, mental health awareness, and digital privacy.
Collectively, the students designed collages that represent their thoughts and ideas on these topics. As they rotated around each collage, every voice could be heard, and everyone had a chance to contribute. Not only was the workshop an educational exercise but it has also demonstrated the power of youth engagement and cross-cultural dialogue.
